A virtual reality game to support visuospatial understanding of medical X-ray imaging
xRayWorld is the result of a research project in the master's program "Applied Computer Science" at Flensburg University of Applied Sciences. It explains the basics of X-ray technology in a playful way. The game is suitable for beginners as well as for advanced users as an exercise for the daily work with X-ray images and is intended to convey the understanding of spatial effects on X-ray images. There are different levels of difficulty, two challenges and a story mode. In addition, the game has a sandbox mode where X-ray images can be freely tested and experimented without any actual radiation risks.
