The talk
For a sustainable transformation we need a more sustainable economy which includes sustainable finances. But what is sustainable finance? What are sustainable investments? What impact can a small or medium-sized enterprise’s (SME) money have? How can SMEs start to find a way to more sustainable finances?
As an introduction into the topic Daniel Karpantschof Reece, managing director of Copenhagen-based consultancy Nordeq Management A/S and lecturer of multiple courses at DIS Abroad, a Scandinavian study exchange programme, will give a brief overview of the development of "Sustainable Finance” and the meaning of “green” bonds. After this, the question how SMEs can engage into sustainable financing is covered in detail by Aljoscha Warych, corporate client consultant at the German GLS bank, which was the first bank in Germany with an ethical philosophy.
Language
The presentation will be held in English.
About the project Positively Produced
Positively Produced is an Interreg project funded by Interreg Deutschland-Danmark with resources from the European Regional Development Fund. 10 partners, food producers and knowledge institutions, share a common and ambitious goal across borders between Denmark and Germany: to promote sustainable food production and consumption in the two neighbouring countries. In a climate-conscious and cross-cultural collaboration, we want to set out on the path to holistic sustainability. This includes environmentally friendly production methods but also important social and economic aspects, for example sustainable procurement.
