conVenture – Nordic Start-Up convention

To everyone interested in start-ups,

dear young entrepreneurs (to be),

We are very excited to invite you to join us and the ever-growing German-Danish start-up community at the "conVenture - nordic Start-Up convention."

On Tuesday, 14 May 2019

There will be a great start-up story and a few other highlights:

• Start-up story
  Allan Kazcmarek (SwipBox) from Sønderborg will show us exciting insights into the world of digital entrepreneurship. 
• VenturePitch
  Be curious about our own mini version of  the famous "Shark Tank / Die Höhle der Löwen / Løvens hule"  TV-show. Follow us on our social media accounts in order to find out which brave start-up will dare to present their business idea in front of our investor-jury.
• Enterprise Workshops
  As many of you know the barcamp concept, we thought we could use this spirit for our conventure. So this time there will be two barcamp-inspired workshop-sessions. Be curious and have a look at our website for further information.

Start-ups from the campus in Germany and Denmark will present themselves and their services and be available for questions at the Start-Up Pier in the entrance area.

To ensure a smooth transfer, we organised a bus shuttle for you again. It is free of charge. The bus will leave Flensburg at 3 p.m. and it will also take you back after the event. Check the registration tool for more information.

P.S.: In case you don’t know the conVenture yet:

The conVenture is a networking event dealing with everything around start-up in the German-Danish border region. It is a place where start-ups (and start-ups to be), people offering support for founders, experienced business people, investors and people interested in entrepreneurship and starting a company can meet.

Next to start-up stories from young founders, our main focus is on networking and the Start-up Pier, a small fair presenting regional campus start-ups.

The conVenture is a joint event by the German and Danish VentureWærft docks. The Dr. Werner Jackstädt Centre for Entrepreneurship and SMEs, the Chamber of Industry and Commerce Flensburg, the Technologiezentrum Flensburg, the University of Southern Denmark (Entrepreneurship Labs & Mads Clausen Institute) and Sønderborg Iværksætter Service.

In addition to these partners the VentureWærft consists of experienced business people and start-ups from the region. The VentureWærft is supported in its work as a part of the Grenzland INNOVATIV Schleswig-Holstein [innovative border region Schleswig-Holstein] project “innovative university” initiative funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research and the Joint Science Conference.
