Due to the excellent conditions, wind energy is the backbone of the energy transition in Schleswig-Holstein. This is why we put a particular focus on wind power as a source of renewable energy at FUAS.
The WETI’s board of sponsors allows us to stay in touch with industry in this area particularly closely. Our research projects aim to increase turbine efficiency in construction and operation. This ranges from reducing the resources needed for plant construction to better predicting operational control based on real-time wind field data.
We know that grid-compatible operation is just as important for the success of wind turbines as the certification of turbines. That is why we are committed to ensuring that wind energy remains a strong pillar of the energy transition in the north of Germany.
