Advisory services for international students

Studying is a challenge for everyone – but international students and refugees who come to our university from abroad face additional hurdles. We're here to help!

As part of the DAAD-FIT programme, which is funded by the German Academic Exchange Service, we support you in th following ways:

Individual support

• We’ll help with questions on living and studying in Germany and on perspectives to stay here
• Coaching and one-on-one conversations
• We take your questions seriously – don’t hesitate to contact us

Studying & campus life

• We’ll help you get in touch with student representatives, tutors and other students
• We’ll help you to organise your studies and deal with challenges daily life may hold
• Events in the course of the academic year: games night, an international Christmas party and a pub quiz

Career & job application

• Get help with your CV, letters of motivation and other application documents
• We’ll help you prepare for job interviews
• We’ll provide tips on the recognition of degrees and qualifications

Networking & community

• Get access to student, alumni and business networks
• Connect with mentors from different areas
• Participate in career fairs and networking events
• Visit companies in our region

Internships & jobs

• Get support in finding internships, student assistant jobs and jobs in general
• We provide information on legal rules (work permits, visa)
• Get in touch with employers from our region and beyond
