Project description
The CROSSWIND network project is being carried out by the Wind Energy Technology Institute at Flensburg University of Applied Sciences in cooperation with the Faculty of Mechanics and Electronics at Syddansk University. The project focuses on the preliminary study for a cost-optimised small wind turbine concept with social acceptance for private households and medium-sized companies in the INTERREG region. The implementation will take place in a follow-up application of the INTERREG 6 programme. The aim of the network project itself is to carry out a market analysis and investigate the regional installation conditions for CHP plants. In addition, different open source software will be examined to determine which are best suited for CHP plants. In the final work package, synergies between the universities will be combined for teaching purposes and the cooperation of the German-Danish working culture and the core competencies of the institutes will be summarised in a final report to strengthen cross-border cooperation in the small wind energy sector. The project reports serve to attract project and network partners for a follow-up application. This project is funded by the European Regional Development Fund.
