Project description
The objective of this research is to increase the economic efficiency of a wind flow turbine and to increase public acceptance. The concept of a wind flow turbine is investigated by means of a pitch system. The purchase price can be reduced by using the more cost-effective material wood and also through an optimised manufacturing process. The specific costs of 1,000 €/kW are the focus here. Various wood-based materials are being investigated for the manufacture of the rotor blades in this research project. These can be sourced directly from the region. In the overall assessment, the minimisation of the CO2 balance of a wind turbine is considered in relation to other renewable energy sources of the same power class
