Jackstädt Centre Flensburg (JZF)

The Jackstädt Centre Flensburg is a joint institution of economics researchers at the two Flensburg universities, the Europa-Universität Flensburg and FUAS. We are a partner for businesses, students and academia in research, teaching and knowledge transfer in the areas of business start-ups and SMEs with a focus on digitalisation, innovation and organisational design.

Since its foundation in 2011, the JZF has been initiating research and transfer projects. We also operate the campus-wide career portal CampusCareer. Through a variety of events, cooperation projects and classes, we ensure visibility and interaction between students and businesses from our region, thereby strengthening our network in research and practice. Our exchange formats inspire, facilitate cooperation and identify entrepreneurial opportunities.

Cooperation and target groups

We want to create exciting learning experiences for our students and practice partners and demonstrate how current challenges can be dealt with effectively in practice using innovative methods. As members of the centre, we bring a wide range of perspectives, experience and expertise to the table to ensure good cooperation in the fields of business start-ups and SMEs. The JZF supports the regional economy in Schleswig-Holstein in various ways.

We establish a direct link between regional SMEs, start-ups and Flensburg’s campus with its business-related faculties and students.

Research and academia

We aim to promote the development and practical application of economic knowledge together with our network.

Students

We offer start-up support for our students as well as exclusive insights into practice, additional qualifications and access to jobs, internships and topics for theses.
