Many entrepreneurs are certain that the future will look different in the post-Covid era. Product portfolios, business models and corporate culture will change with a lasting impact.
The Covid pandemic created a necessity for a spirit of invention, creativity and courage to implement new technologies. Now the challenge is to establish these new technologies and make them resilient to crises, competitive and increasingly productive. What will small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) of the future look like in terms of innovative capacity and activity? Will the SME of the future really be more "agile"? These are questions that the JZF addresses with in the research area of innovation and growth. Here, among other things, the Opportunity Space has been set up as an an Entrepreneurial Innovation Lab in the "TechStartUp@HS-Flensburg" (TeStUp) project. This space is a source of inspiration for the development of founder-driven new products, services and business models.
Further sustainability aspects are addressed in the "Green Entrepreneurship" sub- project of the nationwide “EU-REACT: StartUp SH" initiative, which focuses on green start-ups and sustainable innovations. The general aim of this sub-project is to uncover the green economic potential in terms of digital and green start-ups. In addition to the content-related discussions, the WINnovation research project is not only investigating the visibility of innovative women in research and business, it specifically aims to increase it through various measures.
