The ZAiT

The Centre for Analytics in Technology Transfer for Innovation in Bio and Food Technology (ZAiT) focuses on analytics to identify olfactory and flavour profiles as well as the biological identification of activities of natural materials. With its food technology and bio analytics laboratories the Centre supports SME in the analysis of new and innovative products and processes.

Our mission

Our aim is to combine FUAS’ expertise in the field of food and bio analytics with the needs of companies in order to promote the transfer of innovations to industry.

We support small and medium-sized companies and start-ups in particular in the analysis of new and innovative products and processes. Our well-equipped food and bio analytics laboratories provide access to various methods in the field of instrumental analysis, sensory analysis and bioassays. The ZaiT has a particular focus on analytics to identify olfactory and flavour profiles, as well as on the biological identification of activities of natural materials.

With its activities and networks, ZAiT plays an active role in the classes taught at our university and thus aims to provide students with practical training.
