By paying the semester fee you renew your student status each semester. At the same time you purchase the Schleswig-Holstein-wide semester ticket that is valid on most busses and trains in the State of Schleswig-Holstein. But beware that extra fees occur if you don’t re-register in time.
Information on the semester fee
Semester fee for the winter semester 2024/25:
In the winter semester 2024/25 the semester fee for the Studentenwerk (student services organisation) Schleswig-Holstein and for the student population is a total of 269.00 euros. The fee is made up of the following:
- Contribution to the Studentenwerk: 79.00 euros
- Contribution to the General Students Committee (AStA): 13.60 euros
- Contribution for the country-wide semester ticket (Deutschlandticket): 176.40 euros
You have to pay this fee for each semester you study at FUAS. You pay in advance, i.e. you pay for the upcoming semester at the end of the current semester. By transferring the semester fee to the bank account of the Studentenwerk Schleswig-Holstein you re-register for the following semester and maintain your status as a student at FUAS. You can check the status of your re-registration and any open payments on the HISinOne service platform. It can take between one and two weeks before a payment is registered.

Refund of the semester fee
If you paid your semester fee before actually enrolling as a student, if your registration as a student was revoked or you have been de-registered, you can get that part of the semester fee that goes to the Studentenwerk refunded. You will definitely need this form to apply for a refund. Depending on what the reasons are for your application for a refund, you may need further documents. To get a refund for your contribution to the General Students Committee (AStA) and the semester ticket, please contact the AStA.
The country-wide semester ticket (Deutschlandticket):
Ordering your ticket
Students who have re-registered for the semester and new students who have completed the enrolment process can order their personal semester ticket. You need to transfer your semester fee, please note that it can take up to seven days before the payment is processed.
You have to order a new ticket every semester. The ticket will then be valid from the first day of the semester, i.e. 1 March or 1 September.
You can order the ticket at www.nah.sh/semesterticket. To order your ticket, you will need your university e-mail address (firstname.lastname@stud.hs-flensburg.de). By default, the semester ticket will be issued as a mobile ticket, alternatively you can order a paper ticket.

Information on fees
Enrolment fee
We charge an enrolment fee of 80 euros for enrolling you as a student of FUAS. This fee is in accordance with FUAS’ Fees Regulations (document available in German only).
Proof of the fact that you have paid this fee will only be required after you have received a letter of admission from us. In this letter we will ask you to provide any further documents we may need to enrol you as a student.

Refund of the enrolment fee
If you paid the enrolment fee but decide against studying at FUAS after all or de-register before the semester starts, you can apply for the fee to be refunded. To do so, please fill out this application for a refund of fees, sign it and hand it in to Student Administration along with the proof of payment.
Fee for late re-registration
If you do not re-register in time and fail to pay the semester fee before the re-registration deadline, a fee of 30 euros will be charged. This fee also has to be transferred to the bank account of the Studentenwerk Schleswig-Holstein:

Refund of the fee for late re-registration
If you have paid a late fee even though you did re-register in due time, you can apply for a refund. To do so, please fill out this application for a refund of fees, sign it and hand it in to Student Administration along with the proof of payment.

Gemäß § 3 unserer Gebührensatzung können die Säumnis- sowie die Einschreibgebühren durch das Präsidium der Hochschule Flensburg auf Antrag insbesondere wegen der wirtschaftlichen Verhältnisse teilweise oder ganz erlassen werden. Stellen Sie bitte einen formlosen Antrag und schicken Sie diesen Antrag mit einschlägigen Nachweisen an das Studierendensekretariat.
