Course structure & majors
This master’s degree programme is made up of three phases:
In the first two semesters you will take modules to gain a solid base on topics such as text analytics, machine learning, quantitative research methods, business model innovation and of course ethical and legal aspects of AI.
The third semester is your project phase: Put your technical and entrepreneurial skills to the test by developing a product prototype. Alternatively, you can spend the semester abroad at one of our partner universities.
In your final and fourth semester you will focus on your master’s thesis.
Pre-course for programming newbies
To be able to study this programme successfully, you will need basic knowledge and skills in programming and data science. What if you don’t have these yet? We’re here to help: You can take our pre-course "Data Science with Python for Entrepreneurs". How do I apply?
If this sounds like the right programme for you, apply online now. The deadline by which this application has to be handed in is 15 July of each year to start your studies in September. This degree programme enrols 20 students for the winter semester each year.
As you probably saw at the top of this page already, the admission to this programme is restricted. This ensures that we can support and supervise our students with as much diligence as they deserve and this programme requires.
Of course, this means that we have to limit the places on the programme. The selection this entails is made following the legal framework set by the Land of Schleswig-Holstein, i.e. based on your final grade for your bachelor’s degree and the so-called waiting semesters since you completed your bachelor’s.
So, don’t let this restriction discourage you and apply!
