Project description
The CampusCareer Management is part of the Jackstädt Centre Flensburg (JZF), run jointly by Flensburg University of Applied Sciences (FUAS) and Europa-Universität Flensburg (EUF). We regard it as our nob to build bridges between the students on our campus and businesses and organisations in our region. Our activities are mainly aimed at business start-ups and SMEs with a particular focus on the digital transformation, innovation and sustainability.
The JZF runs the CampusCareer Service – an institution serving both universities. By offering a broad range of events, cooperative projects and services, we ensure visibility and interaction between students and companies; thereby serving the interest of both of our target groups:
- On the one hand, students want insights into what the job market has to offer and what it demands, they are seeking student jobs during their studies, internships, topics for theses and career opportunities after graduation.
- On the other hand, companies and institutions are looking for well-trained junior staff and want to be more well-known on campus.
Working for and with our region is important to us: We aim to place our graduates primarily in the regional job market and to connect students more closely with the region through a wide range of offers and formats at the JZF.
Here is an overview of what we offer for students on the campus in Flensburg as well as for companies from our region:
- CampusCareer Jobs – the job portal for advertising student jobs, internships, theses and junior level positions for business and institutions from our region; from small Flensburg start ups to medium-sized market leaders.
- Virtual fact sheet platform as an information resource on businesses and partners from the region. This platform gives employers from our region the chance to present themselves to the target group. At the same time, it allows students to inform themselves and to compare their skills and wishes with what employers search for and offer. This creates benefits for everyone involved.
- Cooperation projects between business and universities in teaching and research – e.g. presentations as part of classes, workshops for students, participation in semester projects or in third party funded research and transfer projects.
- Event overview for students creating visibility for career events on and off campus, both in Flensburg and throughout Germany. Career fairs can be published here as well as network events, workshops and seminars.
- Individual coaching for students on questions regarding application documents, support in the application process and in finding internships as well as finding the right job at the beginning of your career.
