About the talk

Virtual reality (VR) and computer game technologies have significantly evolved in recent years. This talk will illustrate how these technologies can be utilized not only for entertainment purposes but also for medical education.

Example projects will be presented that focus on medical imaging training: a VR system to practice intraoperative imaging in a simulated operating room, an interactive virtual patient to learn basics of human anatomy and common imaging procedures, a simulation-based game to practice ultrasound imaging, novel human-computer interaction approaches to explore 3D image data (CT, MRI), and more...
