Full title

My Buddy the Lidar - Utilizing Remote Sensing Wind Measurements for Wind Energy Applications

Topic

Knowledge about the wind, its temporal and spatial extent along with fluctuations, is a crucial aspect before and during the operation of wind turbines and wind farms. At the same time remote sensing has been proven to be a reliable wind measurement technique for many wind energy applications. This presentation covers some of the current application-oriented research within the wind energy community and addresses the questions of why, how and where wind should be measured.

The lecture series

The Wind Energy Technology Institute (WETI) is organizing a series of lecture in the summer semester 2024. We welcome anyone interested in the wind industry to join us. We have invited lecturers from the various branches of the wind industry to speak about exciting topics. There will be the opportunity for a short discussion after each of the talks. It is also an opportunity to get to know employers and talk to them.
