Examination Board

The Examination Board is responsible for the organisation of assessments and exams at Flensburg University of Applied Sciences.

Decisions on all questions related to the organisation of exams are made here. If a candidate fails their bachelor’s or master’s thesis irrevocably, this is determined by the Examination Board. The Board also makes suggestions for the reform of examination and study regulations.

It also ensures that the provisions made in the Principles of Assessment and the Study and Examination Regulations are abided by. The Board reports on the development related to assessments and the duration of study to the Faculty Boards, it makes suggestions and publishes the distribution of the grades awarded per subject and the overall grades.

The Examination Board decides on the recognition of examinations together with the member of teaching staff responsible for the subject in question. This also includes the recognition of modules or similar completed outside of FUAS, including those completed at universities outside Germany.

Students can appeal in writing against decisions made by their authorised examiners or the Examination Board.
