nezzy² - From Scaled Demonstrator to Full-Scale Project

Topic

aerodyn engineering gmbh is a private owned engineering and consultancy company focused on wind turbines and floating wind turbine applications. Innovative ideas like nezzy² aim to mitigate LCoE but need to be validated for certification and market entrance. The lecture will show the effort and validation concept for a highly innovative floating foundation from the first idea to the full-scale project.

Jan-Christoph Hinrichs, Head of Research and Project Leader at aerodyne engineering gmbh

Mr. Hinrichs finished his master’s degree as working student at aerodyn engineering gmbh in 2015 and worked for several years in the R&D section focused on fully-coupled load assessments. Since 2017, he leads the technology development and validation as head of research. In parallel, Mr. Hinrichs acts as project leader for the nezzy² twin-rotor floating foundation design and validation.
