If you work or study at FUAS, this Committee is your contact point if you feel you are being discriminated against because of one of the reasons named under Section 1 of the German General Act on Equal Treatment as part of your employment, vocational training or your studies.
Legal basis
The General Act on Equal Treatment [Allgemeines Gleichstellungsgesetz (AGG)] obliges FUAS to set up a Complaints Committee for equal treatment matters. Section 1 of that law defines its purpose as follows:
“The purpose of this Act is to prevent or to stop discrimination on the grounds of race or ethnic origin, gender, religion or belief, disability, age or sexual orientation.”
