Maker education offers the prospect of preparing young people specifically for skills that will become increasingly important in the future (e.g. creativity, critical thinking, communication, collaboration). FabLabs – open workshops in which people can realise ideas and projects – play an important role here. The project aims to create access to making activities to the general public and to provide citizens with targeted support in setting up and organising FabLabs.
