In addition to the wind turbine, there is also a wind measuring mast on our campus.
A 50 m high wind measuring mast is located 100 meters away from the E30 on our campus in Flensburg. State-of-the-art ultrasonic anemometers and additional measuring equipment for meteorological measurements are used to determine the wind and meteorological conditions at the site in real time.
Three ultrasonic anemometers are set up at different measuring heights to determine wind direction and speed. The temperature, humidity and air pressure are also recorded.
