Wi-Fi

WiFi access wherever you are on campus? On other university's campuses even? Sure. Here is how.

When you are on campus in Flensburg, there are two different ways for wireless internet access

eduroam

Option number one is Wi-Fi via eduroam. This global initiative allows you to access the internet at universities and research institutes around the globe. Once you've set it up, you will be able to use this Wi-Fi at any institution that is part of the network - no further configuration needed. When you're connected to the internet via eduroam on campus, you will have access to FUAS' internal network (i.e. your personal drives).

Campus WLAN

Option number two is "Campus WLAN". FUAS' firewall is in place to create a more efficient protection here which is why sending e-mails via SMTP (e.g. from your phone or other e-mail programmes) often does not work. You can send e-mails if you use apps using HTTPS.

You can find more information on how to set up the Campus WLAN Wi-Fi on your device on the intranet. As of now this is only available in German, however:
