Andreas Deja is one of the most important animators worldwide – an on 16 October he will give a talk about his 30 year career at Walt Disney here at FUAS.

The talk

The name Andreas Deja may not mean very much to you, but you certainly know the characters, that he drew life into as head illustrator at Disney: Gaston from “The Beauty and the Beast”, Jafar from “Aladdin", Scar from “The Lion King", Hercules and Lilo from "Lilo & Stitch".

Andreas will share insights and anecdotes from his carreer with us as well as original drawings and animations. 

The speaker

Andreas Deja can look back at a 30-year at Walt Disney Studios. He has been a member of the  Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences since 1987 – which makes him a judge for the Oscar awards. He received the Winsor McCay Award der Annie Award in February 2007.
