Around the 10th of May there are more than 100 prayers of blessing in Germany with the motto #lovewins. In Flensburg the Catholic Chaplaincy invites you to such a prayer at 6.30pm in the Campelle (Thomas-Fincke-Str. 16). All couples and people can receive a blessing for them and their relationships. After the prayer and a snack there will follow the theme night "queer and catholic" with Julia Seidel from the queer family guidance of the Caritas.
In the last year the initiative #lovewins was founded after the Vatican published that the church would not have the chance to bless non-matrimonial partnerships. In Germany around 100 prayers especially for couples took place. The Catholic Chaplaincy supported this initiative with a statement in which was written that the love of everyone and the binding partnership of everybody has to be accepted and valued. The blessing of God is also with them. Succeeding to the mission of God to Abraham ("You shall be a blessing") the Catholic Chaplaincy also wants to be a blessing to everybody who wants to receive it. In this attitude and with an image of God being himself love the Catholic Chaplaincy creates its programme and this evening with the prayer and the theme night.
